Deep Tissue Massage

Deeper pressures. Slower pace. Grounding & rejuvenating.

Sam Ellis, Qualified Massage Therapist, Breathwork Instructor & Ex Professional Athlete

“I’ve been obsessed with health, wellness & movement for all my life, and my years as a massage therapist has only fuelled my interest in the human body & how we can feel our best”

“I have a very holistic mindset to massage, and I believe in giving the same awareness to tension in the muscles as the calming of the nervous system. Committed & firm pressure, at a slower pace, allowing space to breath & soften”

A little about me…

Hi there, I’m Sam. Massage therapist, ultramarathon runner, ex professional squash player, very dodgy guitarist, wannabe dog dad (well behaved dogs always welcome to join for your appointment & have a snooze under the table/general sniff around the room).

My Services

  • Often thought of something quite intimidating by some, sports massage could range from a good deep flush out of tension in your muscles to an analysis & plan of attack to help your body on its way back from injury.

  • A good deep tissue massage is mostly in the desciption, but here’s something to give you a better understanding of what to expect. Deeper pressures, at a slower more grounding pace. Allowing time to breath & soften into the massage, with a greater holistic awareness.

  • Generally I only offer this at my Clifton location as it’s a little more zen, unless you’re totally fine with the soothing sounds of people dropping gym weights. A holistic massage is generally more gentle pressures, however I try to make sure you leave still feeling like you’ve had a massage. I’ve heard too many clients say “they don’t just want to be tickled”. You’ll leave thoroughly relaxed, mentally & physically.

  • My approach to massage is to be understanding & flexible in what you need as a client. If you book a sports massage, but you also need to leave feeling relaxed, then that’s what we’ll aim to do. I always aim to tailor the massage completely to what you need in that moment.
